Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your Recipe Spellbook account and what happens to your data.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open Recipe Spellbook on your device
- Tap the menu and go to Settings
- Scroll to the Account section
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm by tapping "Delete Permanently"
This action is permanent. Once confirmed, your account and all synced data will be permanently deleted from our servers and cannot be recovered.
What Gets Deleted

Local data is not affected. Recipes stored locally on your device will remain accessible after account deletion. Only data synced to our cloud servers is removed.
No Additional Retention Period
All server-side data is deleted immediately upon confirmation. There is no additional retention period. Backup copies in our infrastructure are purged within 30 days.

If you're unable to delete your account through the app, you can request deletion by email:

Delete Data Without Deleting Your Account
You can delete individual recipes, photos, meal plans, and shopping lists at any time within the app without deleting your account. Simply swipe or tap the delete option on any item.
