These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Recipe Spellbook ("the App"), developed and operated by Affluent Labs. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

Use of the App

Recipe Spellbook is a recipe management app available on Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux, and Web. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or use the App in any way that violates applicable law.

Accounts

The App works without an account. If you choose to create one via Google, Apple, or Discord OAuth, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings or our page.

Subscriptions & Purchases

Recipe Spellbook offers optional paid tiers with additional features. Subscriptions are billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store and are subject to their respective terms. One-time purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or store policies.

Free tier: Unlimited recipes, meal planning, shopping lists, device transfer via QR code.

Premium (one-time): Cloud sync, basic cloud storage, step photos, AI Smart Import (trial).

Cloud Sync (monthly/yearly): Standard cloud storage, family sharing (up to 5), shared lists, cookbooks & meal plan, encrypted backups, AI Smart Import (standard).

Subscription prices may change. Active subscribers will be notified in advance of any price changes. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

User Content

You retain ownership of all recipes, photos, and other content you create or import into the App. By using cloud sync or publishing to public cookbooks, you grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and display your content solely to provide the App's functionality. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for purposes unrelated to the App.

Community Features

The App may include community features such as public cookbooks and creator pages. You agree not to publish content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

Discord Integration

You may optionally link your Discord account to Recipe Spellbook. This connection is used to grant server roles and enable community features. You may unlink your Discord account at any time through the App's settings.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of Affluent Labs. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App. User-submitted recipes and content remain the property of their respective creators.

Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Affluent Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data or interruption of service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your right to use paid features ceases, but you may still export your local data.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
