What you agree to by using the app, and what we owe you in return.

Recipe Spellbook is a recipe manager developed and operated by Affluent Labs, available as a web app and as native apps on Android and iOS. These terms apply to all three. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes, and you must be old enough to form a binding agreement in your jurisdiction (at least 13, or the minimum age required where you live). The app works without an account; if you sign in with Google, Apple, or Discord, you are responsible for keeping those credentials secure.
Recipes you create or import stay yours. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of them to us.
When you use cloud sync, you grant us a limited licence to store, transmit, and display your content solely to run the service for you. That licence is scoped to providing the app's functionality — we do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for anything unrelated to the app.
Publishing a cookbook makes copies of those recipes available for other people to download and edit. Unpublishing removes it from Community, and people who already downloaded it keep their copies.
Publishing grants us and the people who download it a licence to store, copy, and display that content for as long as it stays available. If you believe published content infringes your copyright, contact us at the support address on the feedback page and we will act on valid takedown requests. When an account is deleted, its published cookbooks are removed from Community, but copies already downloaded by others remain with them.
Premium and Family are one-time purchases. There is no recurring charge and no renewal.
Purchases are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are governed by their terms. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their respective policies. Purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or store policy. There are no separate purchases made on the web; your entitlement is tied to your store account and can be restored there.
Do not publish content you do not have the rights to, and do not post anything unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or defamatory. Do not scrape the Community index, abuse the recipe import service, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or interfere with the app for other people. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.
The app works offline by design, so an outage on our side does not lock you out of your own recipes. Sync and Community need the network.
The hosted parts of the service are provided "as is" without any uptime guarantee. We may take them down for maintenance or change or discontinue features at any time.
You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account through the app's settings or the Delete Account page. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms; where practical we will give notice. Upon termination your right to use paid features ends, but you can still export your local data.
The app is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Affluent Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or interruption of service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of the jurisdictions we serve.
