Questions people ask before paying
Is Premium a subscription?
No. Premium is a one-time purchase of $6.99. There is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.
What happens to my recipes if I never pay?
Nothing. The free version has no time limit and no recipe limit. Your recipes live on your device, and you can export them whenever you like.
Do I need an account?
Only for cloud sync, family sharing and joining live shared lists. Importing, planning, shopping lists and cook mode all work signed out.
Where do I buy it, and does it work on my other devices?
Upgrade from inside the app. The purchase belongs to your account, so it unlocks on every device where you sign in: phone, tablet, desktop and the web app.
What does family sharing actually share?
Up to five people share cookbooks and a meal plan, and changes reach everyone. Each person keeps their own private recipes unless they put them in a shared cookbook. Live shopping lists can be shared with anyone, even on the free version.
I bought the Family plan before. Did anything change?
No. Family purchases keep working, with everything Premium includes plus the larger storage you paid for.
Is 2 GB enough storage?
For most libraries, yes. Recipe text is tiny; photos are what use space, and 2 GB holds thousands of recipe photos at the size the app stores them.
Can I move my recipes to another app later?
Yes. Export the whole library as JSON at any time, with or without images. There is no lock-in and no export fee.
